29/02/2008  Outstanding Works
I have been complaining about the lack of action in completing the exterior works here at Holwood. It seems that Alan Bloomfield (our last point of contact) has been given a 'different role'. I am now dealing with his boss 'Peter Creighton'. I have e-mailed confirming our conversation and this is produced below!!! Fingers crossed!!!1 Hellolo Peter! Thanks for your time earlier! I am just writing to confirm our conversation. I am acting on behalf of the residents here at Holwood. In May 2007 we formed the Holwood Estate Residents Association so that we could discuss common issues and make co-ordinated presentations to both Taylor Wimpey and the present management company Trinity Estates. We established effective lines of communication and in the case of Taylor Wimpey this has been primarily through Alan Bloomfield. We have done a good amount of investigative work, produced reports etc, and met with Alan to discuss the problems with completed works, and to agree a list of the additional works that remain outstanding. We largely managed to agree the works being required although there was a slight proviso from Alan that a couple of these items might require budget approval from his superiors. We are however largely in agreement and this was minuted by Alan Bloomfield in October 2007. Some of the agreed works were to be started within '10 days'. Some four months have since passed and there is little sign of these works being done. Since Xmas requests from me for an update on these works have been ignored. I do not want to be critical of Alan who I am sure has a heavy workload. He has treated me with courteousy and is clearly a reasonable person. Taylors merger with Wimpey and the winter weather must both have caused many problems. I am not unsympathetic! However it is now time for action!!! Last week I was lobbied by disgruntled residents who propose immediate legal action. They are aware that such action from existing residents would need to be declared by Taylor Wimpey to prospective buyers of the remaining properties here at Holwood. This, in my opinion, would be harmful both to future sales and our investment!!!!. Also totally unnecessary when we are largely agreed on the works required. I have asked residents for a 'couple of weeks grace' before they 'go legal'. In our conversation you promised that TW had recently re-organised and that over the next two or three weeks we would start to see these issues addressed. You would personally be overseeing these works. I look forward to seeing such action.I am personally away now for two weeks but in my absence Colin Glover ( colingloveruk@yahoo.co.uk #11 ) can be contacted if you would wish the opinion of residents. I remain optimistic that we will soon seen Holwood completed to the high standard this beautiful development deserves. I will contact you again on my return. Kind Regards Steve Turner #29
