Residents have expressed concern regarding the danger of exiting our estate onto the Westerham Road. The problem is:-
a) The speed of traffic through this area.(particularly if you want to walk across the road)
b) The lack of a footpath on 'our' side of the road if you wish to head towards Bromley.
We (or rather my better half Belinda)have therefore campaigned with Bromley Council to do something to improve the situation.
We have now received official confirmation of their intended action.
1) A sign will be placed at an approprate distance from our exit ( both ways) warning drivers of a concealed exit.
2) We are to be put on a waiting list for flashing speed warning signs like those already in existence further south on the Westerham Road.
Our request for a footpath to be installed northward from our exit linking up with the footpath near Keston Park has been turned down for 'financial restrictions at present'.
A partial success at least!!!
