Problems continue with the lights outside Block A.
The electricians duly arrived on-site on Tuesday only to find the problem much harder to solve than first thought! They were unable to divorce the cables from the cable-trunking. This means that the trunking etc will need to be dug-out requiring the block -paving to be taken up also.
Because the cost is considerably more rhan originally estimated the contractor had to report back to Taylor Wimpey. I spoke to Neil Dyment on Friday and he promised that the works to Block A would be given the go ahead that same day despite the increased cost.
For Blocks B and C he is seeking to get the installation corrected by the original contractor. Dave Skinner will chase the electricians on Monday to see when they can next get back on site to sort out the problem!
